Medical Receptionist Vacancy
Part Time Position (30 hours per week)
Alpine House Surgery has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Part-Time Medical Receptionist to join our very friendly and hardworking team.
Previous experience in a similar customer services role with the ability to demonstrate excellent telephone and interpersonal skills is desirable but not essential. Candidates will be friendly, polite and compassionate whilst understanding the strict guidelines of confidentiality.
The ability to work well under pressure in a fast changing environment is essential, as well as an excellent eye for detail and the ability to follow protocols closely.
Knowledge of working with SystmOne computer system would be an advantage but not essential as full training is provided.
Hours of Work
Mondays 7.45am – 12.45pm and 1.45pm – 6.45pm
Tuesdays 7.45am – 12.45pm
Thursdays 1.45pm – 6.45pm
Fridays 7.45am – 12.45pm and 1.45pm – 6.45pm

Acting Practice Manager
We have five experienced and dedicated members of our reception team, led by Reception Manager - Andrea McGarry, who are your first point of contact with the surgery, either at the desk or on the telephone. They have a difficult job to do especially at busy times so your patience is welcome. The receptionists deal with all queries first hand so please be prepared to give a few details. Our Reception Team have been fully trained to ask particular questions which will greatly assist us in directing you to the most appropriate healthcare professional quickly. If it is advice you require it may be easier to get through on the telephone after 10.00 am
