Alpine House Surgery Covid19 Update
NHS UPDATE 17.10.2023 : C O V I D- MASKS
As local cases of COVID have started to increase, the ICB have decided to re-introduce mask wearing as a precautionary measure to help limit transmission and protect those at higher risk. All patients have been advised to wear masks or face coverings when visiting all healthcare sites including General Practices unless medically exempt.
We would therefore advise all our patients to wear a mask when attending the surgery with immediate effect.
Covid Booster
People who are most vulnerable to Covid19 will be offered a booster vaccine.
- adults aged 50 or over
- frontline health & social workers
- care home residents
The NHS will contact you directly if you're eligible for a booster.
Please do not call the surgery to book this, we will keep you informed if things change.
Visit www.nhs.uk for further information.
Please note the Booster does not show on your Covid Passport, due to not being part of any travel rules.
It will still show on your medical records.
Please note the pharmacies will now be allowed to change their working hours and may be shut for up to 2.5 hours during the day, this is to make sure they can keep up with demand and clean down their workspaces. Please support our local pharmacies and DO NOT stock pile or request more medication than you need. Please treat our pharmacy colleagues with respect.
WE THANK ALL OF OUR PATIENTS FOR THEIR SUPPORT AND COOPERATION AT THIS TIME.
NHS STOP THE SPREAD!
