Welcome to Alpine House Surgery
URGENT INFORMATION REGARDING BLOOD TESTS:
A supplier to the NHS has advised us of a global shortage of some equipment used for taking blood tests.
Anyone who needs a test for urgent health problems, will still get one but where your clinician recommends that it’s safe to do so, then you may be asked to come back for a test at a later date, or your appointment may be rescheduled.
Given the nature of the shortage, we cannot give an exact date for when the test will be rescheduled, but please be assured that if your condition or symptoms require it, then you will get a test, and we will be re-booking your test when supplies become more easily available.
If your condition or symptoms change or get worse, please contact the surgery as you would normally
Alpine House Surgery
The practice was established in 1984. Since this time, the practice has undergone major extension and refurbishment in order to keep up with the demands of an ever changing primary care. All consulting rooms are on the ground floor and are designed to meet the needs of all our patients, particularly those with disabilities.
We have a small car park with limited spaces for Patients. There is on street parking available within the area, but we do ask all patients to park responsibly.
The practice prides itself on providing good quality family medicine, delivered in a well organised and timely manner by well trained and motivated professional staff.
Mask Wearing Update 19.7.2021
England’s Chief Nurse has today reminded the public that everyone accessing or visiting healthcare settings must continue to wear a face covering and follow social distancing rules.
At Alpine House All patients and staff attending for face-to-face appointments are still required to wear a mask, observe social distancing and wash hands.
We will continue to see or treat anyone who refuses to wear a mask,however in order to keep other patients & our staff safe, we can mitigate risk to both by;
* Any patient refusing a mask will be offered to be seen in their car or in the isolation room,patients opting to be seen in the isolation room will be directed via the path at the front of the building and instructed to wait outside the fire door until we are ready to grant entry.
* Patients refusing to wear a mask will not be allowed to use the waiting room
We urge everyone to play their part and think of those more vulnerable than you when visiting your local GP surgery.
Thankyou for all your continued support
