Alpine House Surgery

The practice was established in 1984. Since this time, the practice has undergone major extension and refurbishment in order to keep up with the demands of an ever changing primary care. All consulting rooms are on the ground floor and are designed to meet the needs of all our patients, particularly those with disabilities.

We have a small car park with limited spaces for Patients. There is on street parking available within the area, but we do ask all patients to park responsibly.

The practice prides itself on providing good quality family medicine, delivered in a well organised and timely manner by well trained and motivated professional staff.

We DO NOT supply Covid Recovery Passes at the surgery, these can be found via your Nhs App alongside you vaccine history and only will show if you have had a Positive PCR Test (having manually submitted a lateral flow test will not count and will NOT show a pass on the app) We cannot supply any supporting letters. Update On Covid Restrictions; 28.02.22

As you may be aware, the government is planning to remove all pandemic restrictions this week as part of the "living with covid" strategy.  Please note, however, that this is not the case for healthcare settings.  Please note the surgery will continue to follow current healthcare setting guidance, this still requires face masks to be worn in the surgery for all staff and patients. Please do not attend the surgery in person if you have confirmed covid or covid symptoms. We have a duty of care to all our patients and especially our most vulnerable, and we ask that you help us to provide a covid safe environment for all of our patients.  If you have any queries or comments regarding this announcement, please email the Practice Manager: alpine.house@nhs.net

 

NHS APP-QUERIES

We are receiving an increasing high number of patients who are having trouble accessing the NHS App to obtain their Covid Passport. With summer travel fast approaching please allow plenty of time before you travel to make sure you can gain access to the App, if additional information is needed from the surgery this can take up to 5 days to appear on the App.

Alternatively, you can contact 119 who can directly send you a paper copy of your Covid Passport this can take 7-10 days, again please be mindful sometimes 119 require additional information from us that you will need to provide and again can take up to 5 days to appear.

You can also obtain a Digital Covid Pass by downloading as a PDF document or having it directly emailed to you, all can be done on the NHS App.

 ON-LINE CONSULTATION SERVICE

We are now using a new online consultation service for non-urgent routine problems. You can use this service for both Medical and Administration purposes.

MEDICAL

Please note your request must be for non-urgent, routine problems.  Replies will take up to 5 working days.

We must stress that this service is not suitable for medical emergencies, urgent or acute problems that need to be dealt with on the same day.  

For any urgent or acute medical problems that need to be dealt with on the day, please call our Reception on 0116 216 9947 at 8.00am when our appointments are released.

ADMINISTRATION

You can also use this service for Administration purposes, such as:-

  • Requesting ongoing sick notes (please note initial sick notes will require a telephone call with the doctor)
  • Chasing blood test results
  • Referral queries
  • On-line access
  • Or any other query you think is appropriate
