Nurse/HCA Consulting Hours

The Nursing and HCA team are in surgery Monday to Friday from 08:00 until 13:00 and then again from 14:00 until 17:30.

 Home Visits

A home visit will only be arranged if we feel it is clinically necessary.

Please call the receptionists before 10 am and be ready to give your name, address, telephone number and brief details of what is wrong.

Your request will be assessed and if one of our clinicians feels you need to be seen face to face for an examination and you are unable to attend the surgery due to very ill health or a disability, then we may arrange a home visit.

All GP appointments are of 10 minutes duration.  It is helpful to bear in mind that it is difficult for any GP to attend properly to several problems in one 10 minute appointment.

Our nursing appointments will vary in length due to the nature or complexity of the problem.

You can book GP appointments online through our website.  Please contact reception for further details. (This service is currently restrcicted due to NHSE pandemic requirements)

Minor Injuries

If you have suffered a minor injury - please contact the surgery and we would be more than happy to see and assess. This will avoid long waiting times at our very busy and pressured Urgent Care Centres or Emergency Department.

Cancel an Appointment

It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.

You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance. (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.

Text Reminder Service

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.

To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.

Please remember to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.

Extended Access Appointments

We are increasing the number of appointments available for you to see a GP or other clinician in the early mornings, evenings or at weekends across West Leicestershire.

Depending on your individual circumstances and symptoms, we may offer you an ‘extended access’ appointment. Please note however, that these appointments may not be in your usual GP practice and may not be with one of your usual GPs or nurses.
