Prescriptions
Repeat Prescriptions
Please use the computer generated right side of your prescription [where a list of repeats will be found] or clearly write down you request with name, address and the exact medication needed. These may be brought into the surgery, posted with a stamp addressed envelope. Your prescription will be ready in 72 hours.
Alternatively we can arrange for your prescription to go to one of two local chemists in Mountsorrel or Rothley. Please ask a receptionist for details when requesting you prescription. .
The facility to request your repeat medication online is also available - please speak to reception with regards this.
For reasons of medico-legal safety we cannot accept requests over the telephone.
A maximum of 2 mth supply of medication is allowed - this cuts down on wasteage. However for controlled drug prescriptions - a maximum of 1 mth supply at any one time is deemed appropriate.

Medication Reviews
It is expected that patients on regular repeat medications are reviewed at least annually by the GP or nurse, we aim to review all our patients in the month of their birth.
If you are on numerous medications and taking your tablets is a little confusing, your local pharmacist may agree to set up a weekly dosette box for you to aid compliance. Please speak to your local chemist with regards this.
